Life Skills Personal Hygiene Kits for Students

I would like to thank you for hearing my plight and helping me get supplies that my students needed dearly.

Your donation made a tangible difference in our every day life. My students are all non verbal high school age learners with autism and multiple disabilities. Our focus is on life skills development while moving them along their own level of academics and goals.

The personal hygiene items helped my students learn about how to take good care of their bodies, which enhances their own overall health and their environment's quality as well. Students were able to use real life products and participate in hands on experiences to form good habits that will follow them through their lives.

Even more, my class used this as a vocational opportunity to create a "school personal hygiene store". Other classes came over in the morning and took their class bags that contained a set of personal products for each student in their class. They were all able to share in our learning experience. This facilitated interaction and helped make some progress in their communication skills.

We will continue using the supplies your generosity afforded us during the coming months as well, as all our students attend school year round.”
