  • Social and Emotional Learning Tools

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

Thank you for supporting my project for social emotional learning in our classroom. My students absolutely LOVE the Spot Emotions books. They absolutely love that there are actual plushies that come with each book to represent each feeling or emotion.

The books are written perfectly for young learners. It's really a special moment for my class when we get to read about a new feeling or emotion. These books are so great for students of all ages. I had messaged a parent that we had been reading these books in class, so if her daughter mentioned a Spot name, that was why. She was thrilled that we had been reading them in our class because they had the same books at home!

For my students who need a little more emotional support, they know they can come up and ask to hold a Spot. They choose which feeling or emotion they relate the most to at the moment, and they get to hold that feeling spot.

Thank you again for supporting the social and emotional needs of students. We could not do the work we need to do, without the support and resources of donors like you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lewis

  • Diverse Classroom Library for Fabulous First Graders!

    Funded Dec 4, 2024

Wow!! I am so incredibly excited for your generosity! I am thrilled to be able to share all these books with my students. I am most excited that our new library of books will offer many culturally diverse books for my students.

Reading alouds are one of my favorite parts of our day! Thank you for supporting our classroom. You have no idea how happy I am that this project was funded. You are making dreams come true for some many of my current students and future students.”

  • Glow Day Party

    Funded May 9, 2024

Wow!! Thanks to you, we were able to pull off our much anticipated GLOW DAY! It was such a fun and exciting day for our class. We had lots of family volunteers to help support us on this busy, but fun day!

We are a Title I school, so a lot of our students never get to experience events like what we were able to have in our class. I know we created positive, core memories for these precious students, as well as myself :)

This day is a labor of love, but we could not have done it without the support and kindness of all our donors. Teaching is a tough job, but it's moments like these that have me working until 8pm to set up the classroom for a memorable experience for my students. We are able to do all these "extra" things, because we have the support of strangers. We have the support of generous donors who give us opportunities to share joy and fun with our students.”

  • Birthday Celebration Goodies!

    Funded Dec 26, 2023

Everyone deserve to have their birthday celebrated! Thank you for helping me celebrate my student's birthdays. This has been such a fun surprise for each of my students when their birthday comes up. They love all the fun things in their birthday cup! Thank you for taking the time to support our classroom.

I know they feel extra special on their birthday, and it's all thanks to YOU!

Thank you for helping to make our celebrations bigger and brighter! It is so much fun being able to create a special birthday present for each of my students!”

  • Teacher and Classroom Essentials

    Funded Dec 19, 2023

I just wanted to express my sincere gratitude for funding my project. These items have made such a huge difference in my classroom. Now I am able to cut things whenever I need to, as well as make books that are easy to use in an instant. I feel so lucky to have these essential items for my classroom.

I have used the paper cutter weekly for various projects. Most recently, I made special Valentine's Day packages for my students. I was able to use the paper cutter to make special tags for my students for their goody bags. The absolutely loved everything about the gift.

I have also been using the binding machine to make books for our daily ECRI lesson. Now that I have a spiral binding machine, the pages are so much easier to turn as I am teaching the lessons. I also want to use the binding machine to make personalized books for my students. Thanks to you, I have everything I need to make this happen.

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom. I am so grateful for your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lewis

  • Rewarding Bucket-fillers!

    Funded Mar 21, 2023

Thank you for supporting our classroom. Our school is big on positive reinforcement, so I like to carry that theme in my classroom as well. We encourage students to be bucket fillers. When they are seen being bucket fillers for others, they earn a warm fuzzy (pom pom) for their bucket. Once their bucket is filled, they earn a prize.

Thank you for helping to recognize our bucket fillers. My students are so excited for their fun prizes! It's so helpful to have an assortment of prizes for them. They are amazing, so I love being able to reward them!”

  • Teaching From Anywhere

    Funded Apr 6, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous gift of our mobile easel on wheels. This has made such a difference in our classroom. I love that I can move this around to wherever I need to in our classroom to teach. I don't have whiteboards in my classroom, so this has been a lifesaver!

This has also been so great for my students. They can easily come up to the board and write or help participate in class. It is super easy for my 5 and 6 year olds to move if they need to as well. I can move this whiteboard around, so every student is able to see what is written on the board. There are no bad seats in my classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lewis

  • Engaging and Interactive Reading Tools!

    Funded Apr 8, 2023

I just wanted to give my heartfelt thanks for supporting my classroom. Your donations have made such a positive impact on our classroom. My students were so excited to see all the fun new tools we received from generous donors like you! I could not do what I do without the support from our amazing community.

I was able to take my new tools and make individual kits for my students. They can take these kits and do independent work during small group time, or we can use them with teachers inside our classroom during small group rotations. I love that I was able to give my students so many different hands-on tools to make learning more engaging.

Thanks again for always supporting teachers, classrooms, and most importantly, our students. You have made my day-to-day teaching so much more engaging and efficient.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lewis

  • If You Give A Teacher Flexible Seating Options....

    Funded Jan 6, 2023

Thank you so much for funding my very first project. Wow! It was so exciting to see that my projected had been funded. I am grateful to complete strangers who took the time to support teachers like myself, and our classrooms. We would not have the amazing classrooms that we have without the support of donors like you!

My students have been loving the flexible seating options. We use the scoop seats during small group time when one group is independent. They use the scoop seats on the carpet and read books quietly or work on their chrome books. The wobble seats are great for students who need a different seating option from their regular classroom seats and/or the scoop seats.

My favorite has been our classroom mailbox. The mailbox has been built and it is all organized and labeled. My students know that once they complete their work, they go to the back of the classroom and immediately file their work into their mailbox. This has helped to streamline everyone's papers. I love having ONE central place for all their "take-home" papers.

My plan is to introduce our new, beautiful rug after Spring Break. I know the students will be so excited for all the new things. We have been so fortunate to have the support of gracious donors who have made our dreams into a reality.

    Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lewis
