  • Learning Value and Money Snack Shop

    Thank you again for your generous donation. My students were so excited to learn about the value of money. This donation made teaching and learning more fun and interactive. The students were able to learn how to count on, add dollars and cents, budgeting and saving for a later date. Students looked forward to each and every Friday as they took turn to use the cash register. Students also benefited from having real snacks that they could eat after each lesson. I was able to see each students growth as they worked together to solve how much change a customer should receive after each transaction. I was also excited to see my students using critical thinking to solve each problem before checking their answers on the register. I am excited to see how much fun this project brought into our classroom and I look forward to using this lesson every opportunity we get.”
