Lets Help Our Future Mathematicians and Writers

Funded Jan 6, 2023

My students have been using the materials for English Language Arts and math. The building fluency cards have helped my students daily by practicing their fluency, rate, and prosody. They also are able to build on their comprehension skills because since there are a variety of stories they are able to share their understanding verbally and then they practice their writing skills. The Cvc words with tactile has helped my students segment and blend letters together and it has build their confidence in reading.

For my primary grades I have had them practice saying the letters of the alphabet and writing in the erasable sketch tablets. They have been able to show me their growth in sound and letter recognition. For math they have been using the magic pen to practice their multiplications. It motivates them to learn and memorize their time tables. I have have also had the students use the dot markers to count in sequence. They have become fluent in counting numbers because they get motivated to be able to make their groups with the different colors.

My students reacted very happy and surprised with the new supplies and materials they were able to use. I saw them motivated and eager to learn. I told them that they were gifts and started to say "thank you."”

With gratitude,

Ms. Borja
