Help Provide Sensory Tools & Fidgets to Highschoolers!
Funded Sep 6, 2024Thank you so much for donating to my project to help provide students various coping mechanisms in lue of their phones this school year. I continue to strive to not only excel at my job as an English teacher, but continuously wish to ensure my classroom is also a space students learn valuable social emotional skills. This project will greatly assist in these efforts, and I am so grateful for each of you for helping me make this happen! I hope you know how positive an impact you are making for not only myself as a public school teacher, but my students as they continue to grow into whatever passion they find after school. Thank you for investing in the health and wellness of myself, my students, and public education.”

Help Fill My Hygiene Mutual Aid Box!
Funded Jan 26, 2024Thank you so much for your help contributing to my mutual aid hygiene box. Thanks to you, my students were able to have some of their basic needs met in times of difficulty. Through these items, we are able to create a warmer school environment where students can see the care that was present from their teacher which makes my job much easier! As a teenager, something as natural as body odor can be a topic of great anxiety- so to be able to give students solutions to small issues they face throughout the day with ease means so much to me, and to my students. I have had countless students, some I don't even teach, thank me for the hygiene items in the mutual aid box. So, all this being said please know of my deepest gratitude for your generosity and know your donations were put to great use!”

Class Library
Funded Nov 1, 2022Thank you so very much for your generous donations to help fund new books for my classroom library. As a relatively young teacher, wanting to provide relevant, new young adult literature for my students can be a struggle as most schools fail to provide funds for classroom library or choice books. Since I have had these new books in my classroom, I have experienced the joy of my students (and students I have never or no longer have) come into my class to explore these titles to find a book that fits their interests!
This has not only helped my students begin to see the joy of reading, it has given me so much joy to be able to help match them with novels and texts that make them feel seen and heard, or challenge them in new ways. I am a firm believer that everyone can find a book they love it just takes time, and thanks to these titles I am able to help that happen for my students.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Rahill
