• Let the Students see a Brand New Colorful World Map

  Thank-you again for your very generous donations for this world map. The students are able to see in detail The 7 continents and since I have a very diverse group of students from around the world they get to show their classmates where their families where they live. We are also studying how trade routes like the Silk Roads, and the tran-Saharan trade route and how they had a cause and effect relationship and the growth of cities and how this relationships brought about the spread of religion and technology. This allows them a brand new brightly colored map for them to see the regions and countries they crossed.

  The students were excited to see the new map and had to be reminded to be careful around it so not to damage it.

  Now I will be able to show these students Eastern Asia in bright colors as we will be spending the better part of the year studying the Ancient Nations like China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam and Cambodia.”

• An Easier and Faster Way to Sharpen Pencils

  Thank-you so much for the wonderful donations for this new electric pencil sharpeners. The students are very appreciative of the kindness, generosity, and thoughtfulness in helping the clas out.

  The students were eager to start using this new electric pencil sharpener rather than the old manual one. The manual one would take the students pencil from a brand new one all the way down to a very short one as it was not sharpening the pencils good at all. The frustration is gone as they can now get up from their desk walk to the electric pencil sharpener and get their pencils sharpened in a faster timely manner.

  Right now the 7th graders will be doing worksheets as we are studying ancient Africa and at times do a lot of writing. The pencil sharpener will make it easier to have a sharpen pencil for the assignments. The 8th graders are studying the 13 colonies and the Declaration of Independence and will greatly benefit as they do map work and sketchings for their assignments having sharpened pencils.

• A Different Way to Look at US History for Students

  Thank-you so much for your support on this project. It really means alot to me and the students. This book will be a good supplement for our regular U.S. History Socials Studies textbook.

  Working at a school district with diverse students many times they only get to see the point-of-view from the textbook authors that tend to favor one side more than the other. The other side opens up a lens to students so that they can read and hear about history from people with similar backgrounds.

• Students Need Up To Date World Atlases

  Funded Nov 29, 2022

  These atlases were a big hit in the classroom. The kids now have up-to-date information about countries in the world and don't have to continually point out that the ones they were using were outdated.

  The kids look forward to using these books as they learn more about the world and geography during our world history course.

  We appreciate all that you have done in helping assist us with our learning by helping get these atlases for the classroom. It has made a difference in the students learning this year.”
