Organize the Speech Room
Funded Nov 28, 2023Our small speech room was starting to feel very crowded. The storage shelf and organization materials have given us the space to store the many games, toys, and therapy materials we have. My students and I are very grateful to have a neater, more spacious room. Now that we are organized, my students have more space at the therapy table to sit and I am able to find what is needed for daily activities with ease. We are so grateful for your kindness and generosity! Thank you for giving us a room that we feel comfortable and ready to learn in!”
With gratitude,
Ms. McDermott

Funded Nov 10, 2022These materials from Super Duper, Learning Resources, and SPARK Innovations have been so helpful in targeting our speech and language goals. The brightly colored, big pictures help to provide visual support for my students who are working on answering questions, describing objects, and retelling stories.
My students are I are very grateful to have new and interesting materials to work with. These picture cards are easily integrated into a variety of activities including reading stories, playing games, or playing with toy objects. This has been so helpful in keeping my students motivated and engaged during speech. We are so grateful for your kindness and generosity!”

We Play To Improve Our Language and Social Skills
Funded Sep 29, 2022We are having so much fun with our new games in speech. Having a larger variety of games has helped to motivate my students to participate and start to form relationships with their peers. Recently, one of my students expressed how excited he was to attend speech that day, with a peer from another classroom, so that they could play 'Pop the Pig' together.
'Don't Break the Ice', 'Crocodile Dentist', and 'Pop the Pig' have been great games that are versatile, as we can work on many different areas of speech and language while playing. We work on skills such as turn taking, conversation, answering 'wh' questions, and more. 'LEGOS' have also been very popular with my students. We can work on skills such as following directions, describing, and expanding our sentences while building. Some of my students look forward to working on their 'LEGO' creations little by little each session!
Thank you so much for donating to our speech room!”
