Stand Up For Learning

It has been a few months since we received the three standing desks from you and they have been such a wonderful addition to the classroom, even more than I anticipated. I appreciate the positive impact they have had and the students really love using them.

The desks give students the flexibility to learn in a way that is comfortable for them. The work space is large enough for as many as three students to work together. They use them for gallery walks where they are moving throughout the classroom to complete their work or when they are working in pairs or groups. Some students use them just because they have a lot of energy or are tired. Students have shared with me what they like the most. Dai'Lynn said, "I like the stand up desks because they allow me to move without distracting people." Natalya said, "What I like about the stand up desks are they are comfortable when I am doing my work." Jocelyn shared, "I like that I can move around at the standing desks because sometimes it can be hard for me to sit still ”
