The Library of Inspiration and Motivation
Funded Sep 20, 2023In our WIN class,"What I Need" class, students learn decoding and encoding skills to help improve their reading fluency and confidence. Since many of our texts are shorter researched based texts created to help students strengthen their phonemic awareness, the students enjoy having the opportunity to explore different topics, genres, and texts of interest during their free reading and choice time. Your contribution to our Library of Motivation and Inspiration has already inspired my students by providing them with more fun and interesting topics to read about. We look forward to growing our library. Thank you for being our first donor, and thank you for making learning and reading more fun for my students!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Thomas

Funded Sep 13, 2022Thank you so much for supplying our classroom and students with headphones and binders. These materials have helped improve the organization, engagement, and moral of my students this year!
The headphones have been particularly useful to my visual and auditory learners. I will often use Ted-Ed videos in class to help reinforce, and sometimes even introduce, global history content and material to my students. Pairing the headphones with wifi enabled devices allows my students, especially those who typically require more support, to view videos and auditory content independently without disturbing their classmates. Students love this because it allows them to access and explore content with some sense of autonomy. We've even had more students join us during their free periods to watch academic videos and complete enrichment exercises when they are particularly interested in a topic!
The binders have been equally useful. As you can imagine, many teenagers have limited organization skills when them come into high school. Being able to supply my students with binders that are dedicated to Global History class has helped them keep track of their notes and handouts, and it has helped teach many students how to be more accountable in their learning.
It's because of your kindness, generosity, and support, that learning has been made a bit more fun and accessible this school year! We all feel very grateful!!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Thomas
