Music Carpet

Thank you so much for your contributions to our new music rug. The students and I are so happy and truly appreciate your generosity. The day it arrived was so exciting! Everyone wanted to help unveil the new surprise. I included a photo of the students who were eager to help get it out. They felt so special and honored. The rug is beautiful. It has brighten up the room and given us a place to begin our classes by circling around to share stories and events from our lives.

The littlest students love "playing piano" while we listen to music and the older students are using the symbols on the rug to connect to what they are learning in music. A few students have even come up with their own ideas on how to use the rug to learn more about music. Our favorite use of the rug is for music games. After a short lesson at the smartboard we move to the rug to play a musical game that reinforces concepts learned that day.

This rug has been a great addition to our room and will bring many more smiles for years to come. Thank you!”
