  • Cozy Calm Corner for My Kindergarten Kids

    Funded Aug 18, 2022

My students are so excited to have a cozy calm space in our classroom. It is a safe space where my students go to have some time alone to think or calm down. The materials that we received are perfect! The little rug, bean bag seat, and little lamp help make our new area very calm and cozy. My students use the little feeling books, fidget toys, and sensory materials daily. The Feelings Pocket Chart is used everyday when my students arrive at school. It helps me and my teacher assistant know how our students are feeling and what extra support they might need from their teachers.

Thank you so much for your support and generosity to help fund our classroom project. My students now have a calm place where they can learn to self-regulate and manage their emotions. Our cozy calm corner is a place where my students can breathe freely, relax, and take a quiet break. Thank you again for supporting my kindergarten students.”

  • My Kindergarten Kids Need to Wiggle!

    Funded Sep 13, 2017

My students love our new Wobble Chairs and giant pillows! The Wobble Chairs are used as flexible seating at our students tables and in out computer area. The students take turns daily and share the Wobble Chairs! The Wobble Chairs really let students wiggle and move without disrupting others and falling out of chairs. The giant pillows are used to sit and lay on in our classroom.

My students were so excited when the giant boxes were delivered to our classroom. They had so much fun helping to open the boxes and put the chairs together. It was hard for everyone to wait until it was their turn to use the chairs and pillows! The giant pillows were put in our Reading Center and are a favorite!

I have written another Donors Choose Project For more Wobble Chairs and giant pillows. If funded, it would double the amount Of stools and pillows we have in our classroom! More students would daily get to use the new materials and have the opportunity to be comfortable learners! Thank you again for helping to fund my project!”

  • Kindergarten Kids Need Just Right Readers!

    Funded Mar 16, 2010

Thank you so much for your generous donation. The set of leveled readers was wonderful addition to our classroom. The "just right" readers helped every child to read successfully on their own reading level. With so many students reading on so many different levels, the leveled readers provided my students an easy way to pick out a book on their own level. As the students progressed with their reading, they could find the next leveled books without the teachers help.

I am very fortunate to be given all of the basic supplies needed for my kindergarten class, but I never have enough good reading books on so many levels. With your help, my students were all able to be excited about reading and feel successful.

Through your kindness, the leveled readers benefited every child in my classroom. Thank you again for your wonderful donation and support.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jorgenson

  • Help a Future Scientist!

    Funded Feb 25, 2010

Thank you so much for your generous gift. My children loved the wonderful science materials! Kindergarten children learn best when they have lots of opportunities to explore and experiment. The science materials were perfect for hands-on learning. The color paddles, magnetic boards, magnet kit, Five Senses Discovery Center, color tubes, and all of the science learning centers were used daily by my students in small groups and individually during Center Time.

I am very fortunate to be provided with all the basic supplies for my kindergarten class, but it is difficult to have the extra enrichment materials. The science materials that you helped to fund were a great addition to my classroom. They provided fun and learning at the same time!

I am so thankful for your donation and support. My students this year learned so much with the science materials. I will be able to use the enrichment materials for many years with many other students. Thank you again for your kindness.”
