Student Resource Support

I just wanted to tell you how much my students are enjoying the new resources from my class project funded through Donors Choose. I started the year with 6 kindergarten through 3rd grade students on my case load for resource where I pull students for both language arts and math supports, I now have a caseload of 35, which are split through out the day. I have a small reading are which a couch and library of books, but not enough seating. The bean bags have allowed more students to sit in the area more comfortably during break time as well as during group reading time. It makes them feel more open to reading aloud to their classmates. I try to promote a "free to be me" self environment because I do not want any of my students leaving feeling low in self-confidence or self-worth and this area helps do exactly that. The area along with the CVC word cards, CVC cubes, and sight word puzzles; they are helping my students to learn to read independently in a fun and exciting way. Learning should be fun and exciting; this has always been my motto and will continue to be. AND, I am grateful you and your donations have allowed me to provide my students a rich, fun, and exciting learning environment.”
