  • Sensory Overload!

    Funded Dec 4, 2024

Through your generosity, my students have been able to use their new materials to work on self-soothing, self-regulation, and mindfulness activities. This also helps create a more calm and relaxing classroom atmosphere, students do not feel stressed and the room is not as chaotic as it can be.

Students use the Magnatiles farm to take a break and pretend they are at the farm= this helps their imaginations soar!

Students use their weighted blankets during nap- a time where their bodies recharge and re-energize!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Chelsea

  • Pick It Up- Put It Away.

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

We have been using our new supplies to stay organized throughout the day. Our magnetic baskets allow teachers to have quick access to dry erase materials and allow us to complete tracing activities and our morning message.

We use our clipboards to do large group activities and to help us keep our letters on the lines. We also use them to play math games as we can have a hard surface to write on.

We have had in-house field trips and we used our nametags to make learning student names easy and equitable for all.

    Thank you so much!”

  • Out with the Old- In with the Art!

    Funded Apr 2, 2024

Thank you for our new materials! We were able to use our new kitchen appliances to make fathers breakfast for our "Take A Father to School Day"! Students were excited to bake cakes for their friend's birthdays in the classroom.

We also used our new blocks for the light up table to work on counting, shapes, and patterns. This is also helped some of our friends with sensory issues to quietly use it during nap time when they were overstimulated.

For Mother's Day, we created keepsakes for parents and were able to laminate them so families could have them forever!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Chelsea

  • Art, Art, and More Art!

    Funded Nov 29, 2023

My students absolutely love using their new paint sticks! We have been using them a lot during our Black History Month crafts and in our "Art" theme! Students like being able to fill their canvas with fun little drawings and signing their name (as artists do!)

We have been using the pipe cleaners for Valentine's Day, creating our own instruments, and in various projects.

When students need a break they have been using our calming/sensory fidget tubes and this allows them to work on self-regulation skills.”

  • Now We Know Our ABCs!

    Funded Sep 27, 2023

When my students opened the box with our new pencil bags and alphabet stampers, they were overjoyed! They asked to use them right away- so we used them during our Morning Message and allowed students to match them with the letters of the week.

Each month we update our Classroom Bulletin Board- the students were excited to hang up the new bulletin board borders we got as they know to look at them to see what craft we are making for the board each month. We used the pumpkins and created a pumpkin patch!

Each day we write in our Frogstreet Journals to strengthen our handwriting skills and to allow us time to jot down our thoughts. By having our new dry erase markers, I can allow students time to practice their name on dry erase boards when we have a few spare minutes.

    THANK YOU!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Chelsea

  • School-Wide Outside Art Showcase

    Funded Apr 3, 2023

Through your generosity and kindness, we were able to have our School-wide Art Showcase where we got to spend time with families and other classmates. All of our students were so excited to experiment with different mediums that we do not normally get to experience.

We used our new cameras to document the day and we will be able to revisit these memories for years to come!

Each classroom was able to create their own projects and display them outside for all to see.

We had such a beautiful day celebrating all of our students' hard work!”

  • Self-Expression Through Play

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

As we prepared for our school-wide Art Showcase our "Create a Space Storage Caddy" helped us to stay organized and made it easier for us to work with multiple students at the same time.

When we began our Transportation unit, our students loved the "City Life Road Carpet" and began to make communities using our toy people- this kept them engaged for a long time!

As we complete our "Letter of the Week" art crafts, students love using the Bingo Daubers and this gives them a chance to work on their fine motor skills.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Chelsea

  • Sensory Overload!

    Funded Dec 15, 2022

My students and I have used our new materials to promote social-emotional growth and regulation, new learning experiences, and opportunities to share and collaborate.

Through the use of the sensory table, my students who have a hard time regulating their bodies, were given time throughout the day to explore the new manipulatives and materials to give them a chance for a break!

When the students saw all of their new materials they were so excited and asked if we could use them all in the same day! We introduced each new item one at a time to allow them a chance to explore and then put them all together!

Without your generosity and kindness, this wouldn't have been possible!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Chelsea

  • Purposeful Learning Center Time!

    Funded Sep 7, 2022

Our students have used all of these new materials during "Center Time", they love being able to explore at their own pace! I also utilize these materials during our lessons, which keeps the students engaged and allows them to make real-world comparisons.

Since I always allow my students to advocate for themselves in the classroom, I was able to pull up the list that we had compiled together at the start of the year and allowed each student to come up and cross out the items that we had now received, thanks to all of you! My students' smiles were indescribable, as they know that we listen and value their input for the things they want/need in the classroom.

We have been so grateful for all of your generous contributions and we know how important early childhood education is!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Chelsea
