End of Year Gifts
Funded Mar 31, 2023For one more time this school year, I want to express our thanks for your contributions to my class.
One item that I enjoy doing every school year is providing my students with end of year school gifts that they can take home with him. That usually involves me spending some of my own money, but this time you helped mitigate some of those costs to help my students bring home a set of quality and diverse books.
The looks on their faces as they saw the different books they'd be able to keep was one of the great joys of teaching. Thank you once more for your help.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Mishiev
This classroom project was brought to life by The DonorsChoose Community and 3 other donors.Exciting New Class Books!
Funded Mar 10, 2023My classroom has another thank you to provide for all the donors that have supported this project.
With these new sets of books, you're helping invite my students to important historical periods in history they will be able to learn about well before they reach high school. It also introduces them to fantastical stories, that will push their imagination of the possible.
For my students, they are able to independently read for an extended period of time and then write about the content of which they read.
These particular books will only further engaged and engross them in their reading.
Thank you once again for supporting public schools and our students.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Mishiev
6th Grade Books Students Will Love
Funded Nov 29, 2022Thank you once again for your contribution to this project! Without you and your support of public school students, this book project could not have been completed. This diverse range of books have offered students an opportunity to step into new stories and worlds with their fiction books, while at the same time teaching them valuable information with their nonfiction books.
Independent reading time in our classroom is an opportunity for our students to not only practice their fluency and comprehension but helps build some of the foundations for lifelong readers.
And none of that would be possible without your support. Thank you once more, we are grateful for your support.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Mishiev

Funded Sep 29, 2022Thank you for your help in making the funding of this project possible. It's been a great help to my learners this year.
One instance of this was during our literary essay unit. As teacher we make anchor charts all the time, but to have student created charts is an ideal goal to strive for.
During this unit on the book "Wonder," students were tasked with developing a claim about a character trait. After spending time in groups deciding amongst themselves what claim would work best, they put marker to chart paper themselves, creating their own anchor chart with their groups claims.
This moment would not have happened without the funding of this project. Thank you again for supporting public education.”

Funded Sep 29, 2022Thank you once more for your contributions to this project. It goes without saying, but without your support, these resources would not be available to my school.
As you may know, some schools do not have all the necessary material already given to our learners. Which in turn, requires for us as educators to step in and support our students.
Your support in making sure we've had enough printer ink has made sure that the thousands of pages that have been printed out for math, ELA, science, and social emotional learning have actually been printed. Students truly benefit from getting their hands on the paper with their work and you've made that possible.
Further, the dry erase slips have allowed us to safely and proudly display our students work in the hallway bulletin board.
Thank you once more for your contribution to public education.”

Funded Sep 9, 2022Thank you once again for your contribution to this project! Without you and your support of public school students, this book project could not have been completed. Independent reading time in our classroom is an opportunity for our students to not only practice their fluency and comprehension, but helps build some of the foundations for lifelong readers.
Just this week, months after this project has been funded, I have a student excitedly sneaking in any moment they can to read the book "Holes." When I say they were excited, I mean they have been reading this book in a matter of days and have pushed me to look to more books I can find that will maintain that interest.
And none of that would be possible without your support. Thank you once more, we are grateful for your support.”

The Book Wonder for My Students
Funded Nov 7, 2022I have to begin with thanking you all once again for contributing to his project. Providing my students with physical copies of the book "Wonder" would not have been possible without your support.
Due to the lack of access to technology at this time in my classroom, a lack of a physical and digital copies of the book would have presented some challenges in students accessing the content during our Literary Essay unit. Instead, with these books, students have been able to both read at their own pace during independent reading time, along with finding evidence to support claims about character traits.
Watching students flip threw pages to help support their thinking and share their ideas during classroom discussions has been great to see.
Thank you for supporting public school students!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Mishiev
