  • Pathway To Proficiency

    Thank you for your support in making this project possible! I purchased a complete set of books to use for small group reading intervention. The Recipe for Reading Aphabet Series provides cumulative phonics practice for students who are not fluent readers yet. The stories provide opportunity to work on accuracy,fluency and expression. They are also engaging and are the ideal length for rereadings. I successfully used these books with students across grades levels from Grade Two to Grade Six. They were always a welcomed addition to weekly reading instruction and the students looked forward to reading the next "new' story.

    This collection will become a permanent part of the schools decodable library and all teachers will have access to to them. This is particularly important as the school is embracing The Science of Reading and teachers are understanding the importance of incorporating decodable text. For your generosity and support I am forever thankful.”

  • Opening New Doors

    Please accept my sincerest appreciation for your support in funding this project. I was able to purchase five copies of five different books to share with small groups. This year, the 5th Grade students participated in book clubs and with your generosity, we were able to provide "decodable books" so all the students in the room had the opportunity to participate. For many of them this was the first time they read a chapter book! To help increase fluency and comprhension, the students read alone, with a teacher and analyzed story elments. The books will become a permanent part of a decodable library which will be accessible to all teachers in the building. Thank you for your generous support and making a difference in the lives of these students.”
