Differentiated learning Environment for SpEd!
Funded Aug 28, 2024Thanks to your generosity, our classroom has transformed into a more dynamic, accessible, and engaging learning environment! These donated items have had a profound impact on my students, helping them overcome barriers and fostering a love for learning.
The printer and anchor chart paper are pivotal in creating customized resources for my students. Visual supports like printed anchor charts and adapted worksheets have made complex concepts more accessible, and engaging. The Chromebooks, paired with the charging station, have ensure that all students have reliable access to technology for research, assignments, and personalized learning platforms use on the daily. My students are thrilled with the standing desk and wobble cushions which make learning more interactive and fun. They give them the opportunity to choose where they work best, whether that's on the floor, near a friend, or in a quiet corner.
These donations have brought so much joy and possibility into our classroom. From fostering independence to creating a welcoming, flexible environment, you've made a lasting impact on the lives of my students. Thank you for helping them thrive!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Gatica
This classroom project was brought to life by United Airlines and 2 other donors.FUNdamentals for All!
Funded Oct 4, 2022This project has helped my students gain the confidence to explore their strengths and utilize the tools that they need succeed. This project has allowed my students to work independently and in small groups to reinforce learning through the UDL and differentiation they need. With many of the resources I have been able to engage my students in all subject areas with activities that make 'boring material' fun, meaningful and relevant to them.
With the resources like math bingo, reading sentence strips, white board circle mats, place value chart and hands on science/health activities, our learning and lessons have become something the students look forward to and enjoy.
This project has built a comfortable environment with flexible seating in my class room with help of the cushions, wobble seats, and SEL books that have forested all my students as they grow and move into the next chapter in their education journey. With these resources we have been able to work collaboratively in projects, and create a positive safe environment for all.
My students were excited and in disbelief that people, wanted to donate to help them in the classroom. You have made a difference in our classroom, especially for my students returning to school after the pandemic and of course for those classes for years to come. I will continue to use the resources as I can now help my students fall in love with learning feel confident, motivated and supported in the classroom.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Gatica
