Christmas Adventure
Funded Dec 12, 2023My students and I love to read! They really enjoyed reading "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." After reading the story, they identified character traits and the problem and solution in the story. They also named other story elements such as the characters, setting, and theme of the story.
My students were so excited to see our special delivery. After completing our Christmas Unit, my students received a stocking filled with the goodies. It was beautiful to see their big smiles as they received their Christmas stocking.
The next steps for my students on a current classroom lesson is to review the elements of a story through a chant. This will help them recall the parts that make a story.
Most importantly, making learning fun!”

Next Step Up Stage
Funded Oct 6, 2022My students and I are using the new resources every time we sing chants which helps them recall concepts that they need to acquire in order to be successful. For example, when we do coding of the punctuation marks on the fluency, they state what kind of sentence is it by singing the kinds of sentences chant and adding rhythm with the resources. They really enjoy it and love using the materials as they sing.
My students were happy and excited when they saw the materials. They were eager to start using them in class. Therefore, we quickly incorporated the use of our new resources as we sang the multiplication facts. We loved it! My students look forward to using the materials every time we sing a chant.
The next steps for my students on a current classroom lesson is working on a text structure chant along with our new materials. A chant that will help my students identify the meaning of the different types of text structures that authors use to organize information in a text.
We love our materials!
Thank you so much!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Moncada
