  • Multisensory Education for Entering ENL Students

    Funded Dec 4, 2023

    I just wanted to take the time to thank you for the resources. My students have been thoroughly enjoying using the new sensory bins and games. We spent some time exploring the different bins and learning the vocabulary associated with each one. They love squishing the kinetic sand, mixing in the water beads, and playing pretend. It's help flourish new friendships in class, as well as develop crucial social skills. The sensory bins have done much more than develop language--they have provided so much joy!

  • Corgi-rific Rewards!

    Thank you so much for supporting my first grade classroom. My students are loving the corgi-themed rewards this school year, and I know my future students will also love them. It makes them smile so big when they earn a corgi sticker after doing some hard first grade work!

    When they saw the corgi themed rewards, their eyes grew so wide. They couldn't believe their eyes. They are so motivated to earn them. This keeps them engaged during learning.

    Currently, I'm trying to raise money for a new Donor's Choose project to support my entering ENL students. I have the rewards; now, I need resources to help them learn!”

  • Social Emotional Supports!

    Funded May 9, 2023

    Thank you so much for funding my Social Emotional Supports project. Your donations helped bring different kinds of fidgets to my new students this 2023-2024 school year and my old 2022-2023 school year students. Essentially, you have helped not just one class but two--over fifty students! I am so appreciative.

    My students eyes widened when they saw the slimes, bubble poppers, squishies, and erasers. There were so many things to choose from, and everyone was able to figure out which worked best for them. I will say that the slime and squishies seem to be the most popular support. They are able to use these independently during stressful and challenging times.

    This school year, I have a lot of entering ENL students. It's an incredibly diverse class with more than five different home languages spoken. I am hoping to get some more multisensory items to support them in the future. Look out for future projects!

  • Fantastic Fun Friday Finds!

    Thank you so much for supporting my classroom. My students have been using the new resources during Fun Friday. It has allowed me to have centers where students get to choose what activity they would like to do. These games and activities have allowed all students to develop their social emotional skills, as they are learning how to share and take turns. It has also helped English Language Learners develop their vocabulary and language skills in a less threatening way.

    My students love each and every game and activity. Their eyes lit up when they saw all of the new toys and games. They ask for them all of the time!
