Exploring Reading With The Pigeon
Funded Jan 5, 2025Thank you for generous donations. My students and I appreciate the help you have provided to my classroom. With your donations my students were able to immerse themselves in the story, "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus." My students along with their book buddies have been able to work on their reading fluency, so much so that it has created a love for reading. My students request independent reading time and read alouds. They have not only improved their reading fluency but they are also improving their reading comprehension. The donations that you have made helped nurture a new generation of readers. Thank you.”

Critical Thinking Through Sensory Play
Funded Aug 9, 2024Thank you for the sensory tools provided to my classroom. Thanks to your support, the students with trouble with fine motor skills could draw numbers on the Kinetic sand and feel immersed in the classroom lessons.
The provided Legos helped my students engage in Eureka Math by learning to add one more each time they began building. It also helped them explore math in the real world by helping them think critically about creating buildings/items with the use of Legos. They began to understand the building blocks of adding and subtracting and how adding more or taking away would affect their creations.
The sensory balls created an outlet to help students during their moments of frustration when they couldn't come up with an answer. It gave them a strategy to take a moment to decompress their emotions and start again.
Your donations truly had an impact on my classroom. Thank you.”
With gratitude,
Ms. C. Gonzalez
