  • Reading Nook

    Funded Dec 26, 2023

I do not have the words to express my gratitude for your support for our project. We try to offer as many opportunities to our students as we can, and your support makes it possible for us to continue to do this. The supplies that you are providing for my students will allow us to create safe learning environment.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Barbara

I cannot thank you enough for your support to our collaborative classroom. We are excited to see our students thrive with all the new supplies and conquer the wonderful world of literature. We cannot wait to share their success with you in the new year! Again, thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

  • Let's Get Literary

    Funded May 3, 2023

With your support, my scholars were able to become literary detectives as they explored author's craft and purpose. They were able to sit comfortably, and get lost in their texts. The donations of clip boards, floor pillows, and other reading support tools, aided them during D.E.A.R. time!

This was especially evident during independent work times, as they were able to choose any location in the classroom that works for them and be comfortable because of your donations. D.E.A.R time, Drop Everything & Read, became students favorite time in class. They could read at their own pace, and not feel pressure around their peers.

We are so thankful for your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Barbara

  • Women's Rights Initiative

    Funded Feb 6, 2023

At my school, female students feel that their needs are often second to those of the male students. By supporting this project, you allowed for our Women's Right Initiative club to provide comfortable and functional period products for all students. These leaders made mini packages for each bathroom for anyone to grab an item when needed.

Furthermore, the girls created posters in which they described real women's issues and data they researched. They pushed this campaign out across the school, and were able to even bring in a local politician who heard about their hard work. Access to information is always one of the biggest hurtles for populations to overcome, so these posters, pamphlets, and infographics provided some information to bridge the gap.

Thank you for all your help. My students are very inspired and ready to continue their hard work going into next year.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Barbara

  • Literary Explorers

    Funded Feb 3, 2023

Your donations helped ensure that my students were able to experience a wide variety of learning activities this year. Between students having more choice in the assessments to demonstrate their learning, to having functioning materials, truly this year would not have been possible without your support.

In my classroom, we see reading in multiple modes. During class reading, students circle up as we read together, while D.E.A.R. time, students use the pillows donated so get comfortable before getting lost in their text. Finally, we also break into small groups for group reading, which would not have been possible without the extra books this donation provided.

Finally, my students were able to feel safe and knew whatever supply they may need, even something as simple as a bandaid or tampon, would be available for them without question. Again, this would not have been possible without your help. Thank you for helping make this a successful school year.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Barbara

  • Literary Learners!

    Funded Sep 19, 2022

My scholars have been able to thrive because of your kind donation. This year my students have used these resources to create engaging posters, dynamic dioramas, and express their analysis of texts effectively.

Without your donation, my students would not have had the opportunity to explore texts in innovative ways or show their understanding through unique methods that they enjoy.

My students were beyond excited to see these materials - even more so than me! Up next, we are analyzing The Book Thief by Markus Zusak while exploring historical connections and the effectiveness of the narrator.

This is just the beginning of many more engaging projects and lessons to come! Thank you again for your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Barbara
