Building Math Foundations in Intervention Spaces
Funded May 11, 2024The introduction of new headphones in our classroom has been a game-changer for our students, and we couldn't be more grateful to everyone who donated to make this possible. These headphones have had such a positive impact on student learning, especially by helping them focus and creating a more personalized experience. In a busy classroom, it's easy for students to get distracted by background noise, but now they can use the headphones as a buffer, helping them zone in on their lessons. What's even better is that the headphones allow students to engage with online math lessons on various websites, letting them follow along at their own pace and really grasp the material.
What excites the students most about these headphones is the control they have over their learning. With the ability to pause, rewind, and replay math lessons, they can take their time with difficult topics and review as much as they need. This has been especially helpful with subjects like math, where sometimes a little extra practice or repetition is needed to fully understand the concepts. The flexibility the headphones offer has boosted their confidence, allowing them to learn in a way that works best for them.
We've also noticed that certain students have especially benefited from this new technology. Some who struggle with focus or sensory overload have found the headphones to be a huge help, as they can block out distractions and concentrate on their work. For our auditory learners, the headphones have been perfect, allowing them to really engage with audio lessons and feel more confident in their understanding of the material. These students have shown noticeable improvements in their participation and problem-solving skills, which has been amazing to see.
So again, a huge thank you to everyone who helped make this happen! The headphones have made a real difference in our classroom, and our students are loving the new learning experience they've gained. We're excited to see how they continue to grow with this new technology.”
With gratitude,
