Organization for Middle Schoolers
Funded Sep 26, 2022I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity. Teaching, in itself, is riddled with challenges and is never just "teaching". I find myself wearing multiple hats per day, as I watch my student's face the barriers of trauma-induced behaviors, verbal and physical violence, vandalism, and bullying just to name a few. The last thing my students should have to worry about, is having basic school supplies to succeed. It may seem small, binders and subject dividers, but it went a long way in creating some consistency and normalcy in our classroom.
My students were shocked when I explained how Donor's Choose worked. They were confused why a few strangers felt compelled to buy materials for them. They were grateful, and it led to the discussion about the "good" in the world, and how it still exists if we look for it. We use our binders daily to take notes, revisit previous material, and organize study materials per subject. They have certainly helped my "I can't find it" students especially. :)
We appreciate each of you for your donation to our room. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Innes
