  • Dress for Student Success!

    Funded Sep 20, 2024

Thank you for your generous contribution for my school's project "Dress for Student Success". My students are able to have access to brand new, clean uniforms that are readily accessible to them at school. As of recent, we have had an influx of new refugee families who are just getting settled into the area. Instead of adding more pressure and stress on to these families to buy new uniforms for their children to attend school, we are lucky to have uniforms at the school for free. We hope to continue to these fundraisers to make sure our families have access to basic resources, such as new, clean uniforms.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Shea

  • Custom Crafting for Kids

    Funded Jan 3, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation of our new school Cricut and calming down materials. We have opened a "school store" where we can now customize items such as headphones and water bottles to make their prizes extra special. In addition, we are in the process of creating t shirts for some of our student organizations such as Student Council. We are so fortunate to be able to create new and exciting prizes for our students who work so hard.

At our school, we encourage students to "take a break" in their designated spaces in the classroom when things get too hard, so the addition of these materials are more resources for students to utilize. Thank you for allowing us to provide this for our students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Shea

  • Students on Wheels

    Funded Dec 30, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donations of the bikes and helmets. We were able to give these bikes away as a grand prize for students who had perfect attendance so far this year. We held an all-school Rally where we were able to recognize these students on the big stage in front of all their peers. Our school mascot, Ziggy the Koala, was there to help present the bikes to the award winners. The winners were very excited to take their new prizes home!

We still have a few bikes left to give away at the end of the year for a few more grand prize winners who showcased great attendance. We couldn't have done this without your generous donation!”

  • PBIS Sumner School Store Fundraiser

    Funded Sep 6, 2023

We cannot thank you enough for your incredibly generous donation for our PBIS School Store. We proudly have a "store front" by the main office of our school building where students, staff and parents see the amazing prizes they can buy with earned Koala Dollars daily. Once a month, school store "order forms" are passed out to each class and students can chose what they would like to order based on how many Koala Dollars they have earned. Living and working in an urban school setting, there is a honest reality that all students do not have the same access to the toys, supplies or resources outside of school. The School Store not only positively incentivizes students to model school rules and expectations, but it is also encouraging equity among students for simply doing the right thing. Many prizes in the school store (squishmallows, Pokémon cards, bracelet making kit) are common items children play with inside and outside of school. Providing these items in the school store allows students who may not be able to afford these items outside of school an opportunity to earn them. We are so proud and grateful for our school store this year!!”

  • Elementary School Safe Spot

    Funded Aug 31, 2022

The space I have been able to create is nothing short of warming, inviting, and beneficial. Students use my office as a "calm down" space where they can come for a break throughout the school day. The social skills games, toys and fidgets have been very helpful to dozens of students when they come in for a break. I also use this space for social skills groups, and the space created provides a safe, inclusive environment for all to share their feelings and emotions. I especially love the hopscotch rug, as it's a great distraction when students are feeling strong emotions and it allows them to practice fun exercise to calm down. Thank you so much for your generosity to help me provide this space for my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Shea
