  • Organize and Celebrate

    Funded Jun 18, 2023

My students and I have loved the materials we have gained from this project and your funding! We have made so much use of every single item already. I use the washi tape currently for our pencil wars. The students are learning responsibility by keeping track of their assigned pencil with the pink washi tape on it so I know it's mine. They get to earn or lose points based on if they have their pencil when I check. This also helps keeps pencils around more. I also use the mesh baskets to hold their writing journals by homeroom. They just finished their first writing entry last week! The kids love when I give them their birthday pencil and bracelets on their special day. They always use the pencils in class as well.

These donations have made an impact on many students. Thank you.”

  • Diverse Books & Materials

    Funded Dec 5, 2022

Thank you for donating to our classroom! You were able to contribute to a diverse classroom library representing everyone here at our school. The students are so excited to see books that represent them. I am able to do read alouds with these books and explain different cultures and traditions that some are used to and others aren't. This has opened the opportunity for students to learn about others in our classroom and share similarities, but also celebrate differences! It has been so fun being able to create a community this way.”

  • First Year Teacher Materials

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

With these materials I will be able to create an amazing classroom for my future students! I am so exicted to create vibrant bulletin boards with class work and topics. I know the kids will love the food and prizes they will be able to earn as well as the interactive compenents we will be able to do with dry erase stickers and more. I know they will love their new environment to learn in as I am just as excited. I am already able to prepare for the following school year with the laminator I have recieved so that I can get everything I need ready. Thank you so much for everything!”

  • Materials For My First Class

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you for everything you have done to make my first year as a teacher incredible! I am beyond excited to put these materials to use next school year and I have already had the opportunity to use them in my position this year as well. I am using the games to build relationships with students during non academic times of the day, which has helped create a great class community. I am very eager to use the bookshelves to create a class library and have it available all day to my students. It will be a safe space full of books that represent them. I am also able to use the organization materials for my office which has been a great help!”

  • Rewards Help Results

    Funded Oct 6, 2022

I was able to obtain treasure box toys and calming corner activities that have been a great addition to the classroom thanks to you all. The students particularly love the sensory toys and fidgets that are available to them. We have treasure box Fridays, and they love getting to choose from the options now. When I first showed them what was donated, they were beyond excited, you could see how shocked they were to see the new toys and treasures! I think certain students especially benefit from the fidgets in the calm down corner. It really helps them to decompress and be able to calm down so they can rejoin our class.”

  • Resources & Diversity Matter

    Funded Oct 6, 2022

Due to the resources and books that have been donated to my classroom, kids have been so excited to read! I am amazed by the impact it has had on students and how much they are reading now. They look forward to my read alouds in class and get excited when they see someone that looks like them in a story. I have chosen specific books in order to represent everyone in my classroom and make everyone feel comfortable. Not only that but when students feel represented, they are more eager to learn and read. That in turn encourages more participation in class no matter what subject is being taught because that culture of community has been built. I feel my relationships have grown because of these materials and the opportunities it has brought to become closer to one another.”
