  • Rise Up With Rise Merchandise

    Funded Dec 4, 2023

Thanks you so much for your generosity! The resources have made a huge impact this year. The shop is back in business and students are loving it. They have jumped back into making T-shirts and sweaters. They love practicing the technique and at the end of the day they get to take home what they make. Last year we had basic colors to make the letters. The students love having different colors to work with this year. It adds variety. They get to work with blue, green, yellow, and red. We have also started to make shirts for our fundraiser in spring. We are super excited and cannot wait!”

  • Reading Food for the Brain!

    Funded Oct 19, 2023

Thank you so much for your generosity. The students have loved the new books and can't get enough of them. In the beginning of the year our books shelves were pretty empty but with the new selection students have been able to look on to different genres. We have some mystery, some body positivity, some crime, and much more. We love it when a students choose a good book and gets cozy in the classroom. The Paul Langan book set has been a big hit. A lot of our students come from rough backgrounds and can make connections with the books. Some students were also able to make connections with history in the book Number the stars. These books have made a significant impact! Thank you much again.”

  • It Gives History Vibes!

    Funded Jul 22, 2023

Thank you so much for your support in my classroom. This year one of my goals was to incorporate more geography into my class. My students have struggle with locations. Once I added the maps, travel cards, and new globe to my classroom, my students have been more interested with learning different countries. Sometimes students look through the travel cards and ask questions of different landmarks they see. Some share experience they have had traveling. Its very exciting.

When the students first walked into my classroom they were filed with joy. A lot of them said it felt like an actually classroom. Others mentioned that it felted very homey. They were excited to start the new year in a safe space with plenty of new supplies.

Currently we are learning about the American Revolution. We are reading more, discussing more, and writing more. Thanks to all the pencils and pens I have received, my students will always have writing materials to last us the year. They also love being able to grab a clipboard and move around the classroom to a more comfortable area. This helps them focus on completing there work. Overall all the supplies we received has help my classroom tremendously and both the students and I greatly appreciated it.”

  • Cozy Classroom

    Funded Sep 14, 2022

I want to start off by say thank you so much. I was truly overjoyed when I discovered that my project was fully funded. When I received my packages, I quickly bought them to school and started to set up my classroom. When my first students walked into the classroom they were ecstatic! Some started to jump on the bean bag chairs. They all approved that they were awesome. They also loved the idea of the working on the bean bag chairs with the clip boards. It was an amazing moment seeing my students come alive with the new supplies.

Since I have received my donations, I have been able to move my classes around. Sometimes I grab my materials and move everyone to the back to get started on work. Students love to work from the bean bag chairs. During reading time student love to cozy up with a book. Some like to sit on the soft rug for comfort. They love the fuzziness to it and enjoy spending time there. For a while my class was timeless meaning there was no clock. Some students kept asking for the time and would sometimes take out their phones to check. After I received my clock, things changed for the better. My students have a designated area to check the time.

These first three months of School have been absolutely amazing. I am super excited for the rest of the year. Thanks to your help I was able to provide my students a cozy classroom.”

    With gratitude,
