Science Lab Supplies for 2023-24
Funded Jul 25, 2023Thank you for your help in making this year full of projects and labs for our middle school science students! Scholars have been busy creating models of cells and organ systems, checking out samples under microscopes, dissecting fish, and extracting DNA from plants! It's been a busy and fun year so far with lots of interesting discoveries still ahead.
This week, Miles ELC received the announcement from the state of Arizona that we are an "A" rated school! Hopefully, continuing to provide opportunities for students to learn through exploration will set us up for another year of amazing learning opportunities. Your contribution is helping to make it possible for that to happen!”
With gratitude,

Equal Opportunities for All Students
Funded Nov 22, 2022Thank you for your contribution to our middle school science lab at Miles K8 Exploratory Learning Center. We can now enjoy our whiteboard at all times of the day without worrying about the afternoon glare of the sun impacting our ability to see! This is especially important for our deaf and hard of hearing students who rely on closed captioning and images to complement their learning. The new curtains also brighten up the space, compared to the old drab army green ones that were on half of the windows before this grant.
The purchase of one more stereoscope microscope has allowed every lab station in the classroom have access to one of these incredible learning tools. We use them all the time to explore specimens more closely!
Your contribution has made a difference that impacts learning each and every school day!”
With gratitude,
Dr. McNiece
