Learners of Your Own Design
Funded Aug 12, 2024Thank you so much for contributing to our classroom. The students have gotten to work with the supplies purchased on behalf of your donation.
Students were thrilled to see our pencil dispenser updated with pencils and enjoyed the pastel colors. They also helped put together the supply cart and enjoy having organization in our shared classroom.
Your contributions have helped my classes have a cohesive learning experience where space is limited and still have access to all the resources they need to learn successfully. Next, students will be creating study guides for their unit exam.”

This classroom project was brought to life by * Optimum.Stick With Math!
Funded Jun 26, 2023The materials have helped bring excitement to our classroom. My students have enjoyed earning stickers and using the coloring materials. The storage materials have helped my students become organized and responsible for maintaining their work stations during classroom projects.
The stickers have been a morale booster and have helped develop camaraderie amongst the classroom community by looking through the different subject related graphics and showcasing their choices on classroom tech and personal objects.
Thank you for contributing to our classroom and helping us stick with math!”

This classroom project was brought to life by PwC.To Read or Not to Read
Funded Mar 19, 2021Last year students and teachers returned to school with much uncertainty. The pandemic caused us to close our doors and go remote several times. Each time we reopened, different students were present.
The materials that we acquired through your donations helped to keep students working and on task. Due to social distancing and an inconsistent schedule, sometimes some students were done or waiting for my direct feedback. During this time, students were able to read and move to areas of the room where they could work independently.
This was made possible all because of your contributions. My students and I appreciate your help to our classroom.”

Mrs. Figueroa
Let's Get Digital!
Funded Aug 13, 2020Your donations have helped tremendously in this new age of remote learning. Due to the vast difference with which students are receiving their education, we have had to streamline our curriculum to be digital. As a result, the need for digital activities has become greater and your donation allowed for me to get activities tailored to lessons from reputable teachers and the greatest online library of activities to help engagement. Teachers pay Teachers has a wealth of resources that can be used across all content areas and has been a great help to my classroom.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Kleenex Brand.Easing Back to School
Funded Aug 13, 2020Thank you for the donating to our project. You allowed us to get a moveable whiteboard to help teach those in person. Students are working in small pods due to covid and I don't have all resources accessible to me. The whiteboard has been a huge help.
The donations also allowed for the purchase of some cleaning supplies that were in high demand and difficult to acquire. This helped ease the transition to return to school. Knowing that we had access to cleaning supplies allowed myself and students to come to the classroom with ease and focus on learning.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Kleenex Brand. In with the Old and the New!
Funded Mar 27, 2018Technology has done wonders for helping students narrow their gaps in learning. So many engaging activities have been created for students to learn Mathematics on-line that the access to devices that support such activities is invaluable. Students are able to learn at their own pace, watch videos, and complete on-line lessons without being a disruption to others through the use of the iPad and headphones. I teach several students who have disabilities and/or on the spectrum. Some of these students are very savvy to technology and have shown growth in communication through the use of helping other students with the iPad or being able to search up images of what they are trying to describe to their peers. Even then, students also love taking it back to cutting and pasting paper. The supplies have helped for creating engaging activities that may otherwise be boring with regular worksheets. Students are able to work together and learn from each other by completing projects where they are creating a joint product.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Ripple.Elmo Loves Math
Funded Sep 16, 2016Thank you so much for your contribution to the class! The students are thrilled with the Elmo document camera. They enjoy having their work instantly projected on the board. It makes them feel proud and also opens them up to displaying their work.
Students are engaged by the fact that their work on paper is visible on screen and that they can also showcase their work in "real time." It helps them when explaining Math work because they can write out symbols and numbers easier than they can on a computer. It saves time for them to give actual feedback to each other than to worry about displaying properly through other mediums.
It has also greatly enhanced my teaching. Things can always pop up in a lesson that I didn't exactly plan for and the document camera allows me to make adjustments in the moment if necessary. I don't have to worry about the fact that there was no slide for important questions that students bring up. I can model from the same work paper that students are using.
The document camera is so much fun to use and my students are enjoying it!”

Let's Get NEAT!
Funded Mar 29, 2016My students love the scanner in the classroom. It is wireless so they can easily upload their work and have it sent to me immediately. This allows for an update of their portfolios and helps to easily share necessary work without worrying about how Math symbols will transfer over. Scanners are not new to my students but the wireless aspect is truly a treat for this digital age. Students who need to scan work do not need to interrupt a student who is working on a classroom computer. I even have students who act as the scanner monitor, making sure that it is being used properly and helping with the options on the touch screen. It is great to see them take ownership of this aspect of the classroom. Thank you so much for allowing this to be possible!”

Supplies are FUNdamental
Funded Aug 8, 2014My students are very excited to use the iPad in class to use some apps related to our material. Students are earning tickets for iPad time and it is a great incentive. The supplies have also been a great help because the students enjoy hands on activities. It makes a difference when Math comes to life and when students are able to learn through their personal interests.
The students sometimes lack these resources at home so having the chance to interact with these in the classroom is a sure boost in their morale!”

Graphs Make It Perfect!
Funded Jun 17, 2013My students were so thrilled to get their graphing calculators as they are not able to purchase their own. They needed to familiarize themselves with this tool so they can use it in HS. They also needed it in order to take the Algebra regents and receive advanced credits while in the 8th grade.
The tools were very helpful to teach some of the more challenging material such as graphing lines and systems of equations. It was a great visual tool for the students. Even when they had to graph it themselves on paper, the calculator served as a way for them to check their own work and learn to correct their mistakes.
Your donations also impact students to come. More students will be able to prepare for the algebra regents in the new school year and I am excited for the doors that your donations have opened!!”
