Help Our Special Learners Feel Like Superheroes!

Thank you so much for your contribution to our special education program. We have had a complete turn over from the team last year and are working to build our program.

The students have enjoyed all of the materials you have sent in both the academic and social realm. Our K-2 students have loved using the sandpaper numbers and sand trays to practice writing letters and numbers as well as other foundational skills. Our 3-4 students have loved using the super hero capes during assessments as it helps them feel powerful and overcome testing anxiety. The flexible seating has also helped students focus during their assessments.

The bosu balls have become a favorite for students to use while they are in the reading corner. Students love to sit on them and read with friends. Students are also enjoying using them to sit and read quietly when they are completed with a task or need a break from testing.

We have been able to establish a cool down/break corner using the sand timers and pop-its. Our students use this space to help self regulate and re-center themselves in times of challenge.

Thank you again for your wonderful contributions to our classroom! Myself and my Learning Specialists are forever grateful to you for helping us rebuild this program and provide the best learning environment and modes of learning for our students.
