  • The Power of Water

    Funded Nov 20, 2015

Thank you so much for funding the Power of Water just in time for our Exhibition Projects. It will be such an engaging time for the students to conduct multiple experiments using the mobile table. Also, the parents will be informed of your generous donation to the STEM Lab.

You have made such a difference in the lives of our students with this donation, because of the real world connections that they will be able to make using this table. This water table will be used by every class in the school and I can hardly wait to show it to the students.”

  • Future Scientists At Work

    Funded Dec 19, 2014

My students were so thrilled with all of the new items that they unpacked from the boxes. The materials were viewed by the whole school. I got a lot of Wows and OOhs from the children. One student said, "I'm going to be a real scientist now!" It thrilled my heart to hear the excitement in his voice.

The students work with the materials in small groups, and we went out to the school garden to plant the pole beans. The materials help them to stay engaged until the activity is completed.

The students really enjoy science lessons now and can hardly wait to explore the next STEM project that they will work on for the day. The children are asking more questions about the weather stations, and just more questions in general.

My classroom is one of the hot spots in the school thanks to generous donors such as you.”

  • 21st Century Explorers

    Funded Feb 21, 2013

Thank you so very much for your generosity! My students have been enjoying the products. Because of your funding, I have been able to extend their learning experience. The binoculars were used in a cross curriculum lesson plan that involved the entire fourth grade level going on a camping experience at school. One hundred and sixty kids hiked over to our Pre-K Center while exploring living and nonliving organisms along the way. We had enough of the binoculars that we were able to share 6 each with the other classes. Some of my students had never gone camping. Needless to say, this was an event of a lifetime for most of them.

When I asked the students to reflect on the camping experience, many of them said it was the "best day" of their school life. As a teacher, comments like these motivate me to do even more to make teaching more exciting for my students. Some used them to see waterfalls, lions, birds, and whatever their imagination could fathom. Having the binoculars made them feel that they were on a real wild life adventure, even though they were on the playground at school.

We are using the graduated cylinders in math and science activities, and the students are learning to make a more solid connections to the names of measurement problem and the tools that are used to measure. Just having the opportunity to hold the cylinders in their hands makes a great impact on their grasping various related concepts.

Again, thank you so very much for helping me to teach without boundaries.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Johnson

  • My Math is in the Bag

    Funded Oct 10, 2012

Thank you so much for your generous contribution of the math center activities. My students were so exciting when the items arrived. I use the group table and tabletop dry erase board every day to adjust my lesson to meet individual needs.

I use the table for guided reading and the students' reading grade has increased by 20%. I know that the supplies that you donated to my class had a positive impact on their learning.

The centers were definitely a big hit. The fractions boxes are in big demand. We really depend on company such as yours to fill in the gap for our students.

    Again, thank you very much.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Johnson

  • Materials to Help Develop Great Writers

    Funded Oct 26, 2009

When we started school this year, most of the students were struggling with writing compositions. Now, thanks to your generosity, they are writing more freely and creatively. The children really enjoy rotating through the writing centers and showing off their creative writings to each other. As the date of one of our major writing assessments approaches, I feel so confident that my students will do very well.

Your contribution helped my students to have confidence in their abilities to produce work that is on and above their grade level.

Again, thank you for your kindness and I pray that you will continue to be blessed in all of your future endeavors.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Johnson

My class has the potential to become great writers given the right conditions and materials. They have not had rigorous writing lessons and this year they will be expected to write at or above their grade level. They are in need of visual aids to help them complete this task.
