  • Snack Time!

    My students were so excited when they saw the snacks as I pulled them out of the boxes. I think snack time is now thier favorite part of the day. As growing kids they are constantly hungry and love when they see me going to the snack cabinet. Snack time has become a regular part of our day thanks to you! Their brains and bodies get the fuel they need to continue thriving throughout the day and they can refocus and pay attention with their bellies full. They are all so very thankful and appreciative of your generosity.”

  • Can We Hear Please!

    As a 3rd grade teacher my students use chromebooks a at various times throughout the day. After math we have a block of time called math workshop where students are able to get on a variety of Math apps to enhance and practice different skills such as multiplication and division, fractions and so on. We also have a reading workshop, were students may explore different reading apps were they can read online books but this is particularly helpful for my limited readers because books may also be read to you. Although headphones are on the school supply list at the beginning of the year most of our students cannot afford to buy them. We are a title 1 school and funds are limted with what the school may also purchase. They headphones that were given to me at the beginning of the year by the school did not work properly. So with the arrival of these headphones my students are pretty excited to be able to hear the apps and games they are playing. My limited readers are enjoying having books read to them which makes them feel successful/”

  • Rainy Day Fun!

    You have truly made 20 third graders very happy. As I opened the boxes to show them the games , their faces simply lit up. They wanted to play with them immediately. Our first rainy day, they immediately wanted to play the games. I loved the collaboration and conversation i heard my students having. They were reading directions and teaching one another how to play without arguing. It is so wonderful for them to have an option of play that does not involve a screen. Now they even want to stay in on sunny days.”

  • Let's Play!

    The look on my students faces as I opened the boxes in front of them was priceless! I felt pure joy to hear there shrills of excitement has I pulled out a new recess equipment. As we got ready to go to recess, they all looked at me and said " Can we take out the new stuff?" As soon as I replied with a yes they jumped for joy. Recess was on a whole Other level. They were able to play interactively with one another and not just stand around. The big bouncy ball was the biggest hit! The students all ran around and just thoroughly enjoyed one another. From hula hoops to jump ropes to ankle jumpers. The students did not want recess to end!”
