  • Magnets and Floor Cushions

    Funded Sep 14, 2024

I am writing to sincerely thank you for your generous donation of the magnetic tiles and floor cushions. These wonderful gifts have had an immediate and positive impact on our classroom, and I am so grateful for your support.

The magnetic tiles have been a huge hit with my students. They have spent hours building, designing, and experimenting, and it's amazing to see their creativity and teamwork in action. The tiles have not only sparked their imaginations but have also enhanced their problem-solving skills as they explore structure, balance, and geometry.

The floor cushions have created a cozy and flexible learning environment where students can collaborate, focus, and engage in activities comfortably. They are perfect for group work, independent reading, and even a little quiet time, and my students love using them.

Thanks to your generosity, our classroom feels more dynamic and inviting, and my students are able to explore, learn, and grow in new ways. Your support truly makes a difference, and I can't thank you enough for helping us create such a positive, enriching space.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Pillow

  • Dashing Again

    Funded Jun 8, 2024

On behalf of my students and myself, I want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous donation of the Dash Robot Sketch Kit and the Dash Robot Launcher. These gifts have truly transformed our classroom and created a fun, engaging learning environment that my students are excited to be a part of every day.

The Dash Robot Sketch Kit has sparked their creativity and problem-solving skills as they explore new ways to code and draw with the robots. The Dash Robot Launcher has made learning even more interactive, allowing students to work together and experience the thrill of engineering and technology firsthand.

Your thoughtful contribution has made a lasting impact, and it's clear that these resources are helping my students grow both academically and personally. We are all so grateful for your support and generosity.

Thank you once again for making such a positive difference in our classroom!”

  • Hydroponics Garden Science

    Funded May 2, 2024

The donation of a hydroponics garden to our elementary classroom has been nothing short of transformative. From the moment the system was set up, students have been captivated by the process of growing lettuce in a soil-free environment. The hydroponics garden has not only introduced them to the fascinating world of sustainable agriculture but has also provided a hands-on learning experience that bridges science and nutrition. Watching the lettuce thrive and grow has sparked a sense of wonder and curiosity among the students, turning the classroom into a vibrant hub of exploration and discovery.

As the lettuce plants have matured, students have eagerly observed each stage of growth, from tiny seedlings to crisp, green leaves ready for harvest. This process has offered valuable lessons in plant biology and the importance of nutrient solutions, light, and water in agriculture. More importantly, the excitement of eating the fresh, home-grown lettuce has created a tangible connection between their efforts and the end result. The act of enjoying their own produce has not only made healthy eating more appealing but has also instilled a sense of accomplishment and pride in their hard work.”

  • Makerspace Fill-Up

    Funded May 7, 2024

The excitement in the classroom has been palpable ever since we received the wonderful donation of craft materials for our makerspace. My students have been buzzing with creativity as they dive into projects with the vibrant assortment of feathers, scissors, markers, and pom poms. The feathers have added a magical touch to their art, transforming simple drawings into lively, textured masterpieces. Children eagerly choose colors and shapes, their imaginations soaring as they incorporate the soft, fluffy feathers into their creations.

Scissors, always a favorite tool, have become a gateway to endless possibilities. Students have been meticulously cutting paper into intricate shapes and patterns, discovering the joy of precision and design. The combination of feathers and cut paper has inspired them to experiment with new techniques, leading to a flurry of colorful, imaginative pieces that fill the classroom with a sense of pride and accomplishment. Markers, in every hue imaginable, have further fueled their creativity, allowing each student to bring their unique vision to life with vibrant, bold strokes.

Pom poms, with their cheerful, bouncy texture, have added a playful element to our classroom projects. Students have used them to embellish their artwork, create three-dimensional figures, and even design their own whimsical characters. The tactile experience of arranging and gluing pom poms has been both fun and educational, enhancing fine motor skills while encouraging artistic expression. Overall, the generosity of these donations has not only enriched our makerspace but has also ignited a deep love for crafting and learning among the students.”

  • We Must Dash!

    Funded Nov 8, 2023

All of my students from PreK to Fifth grade have enjoyed using the new Dash and the grippers. Students have set up obstacle courses and coded the robots to pick up items or navigate through areas. Students don't really even notice that they're improving their logic skills and learning to code because they are having so much fun.

I have some students that struggle with the SEL, or Social Emotional Learning. They are so excited to earn time during class to drive Dash! We have so much interest in class that students have to sign up during free STEM time! They are learning to cooperate and time management when the timer goes off and it is time to switch!!

After using Dash(es) and Dot, many students have now asked to join our school's robotics team! I like to think it is because robotics sounds scary if you've never done it, but once you get a taste for it, there's no turning back!”

  • Make Our Makerspace Dreams Come True!

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Thanks so much for your donation to my students. We didn't get fully funded in time to use the materials for summer school, but we have been able to use them in our STEM club! The students have really enjoyed the time to be creative and use their imaginations without the restraint of classroom assignments. My students were very excited when I got out all of the new materials (mostly by the balloons!) They look forward to our club every week when they get to create something new! It is so important that the students get to have a safe place to use trial and error to figure out how to do something. Thanks again for your amazing gift!”

  • STEM-Magical Play

    Funded Dec 11, 2022

My students just love the magnetic board and roller coasters and gears! They have been a great way for students that are upset to calm down. I hear so many great conversations about motion and speed and how they can fix their design to have the marbles travel slower or faster, or how to keep the marbels from flying away! On short weeks or during extra time in class, students can make STEM choices. The boards are almost always the first activity students choose! In the future, I look forward to adding more technology options in my classroom including robots and coding games. Thanks again for your contribution.”
