Special Students Language Fun

Thank you so much for the activities you purchased for my classroom! You purchased: Lakeshore Magic Board, What's Inside? Soft Feely Box, Building Language Lotto, and Write Wipe Alphabet Practice Cards. The students were excited to have these new items in the class. They use the Lakeshore Magic Boards during small group activity time to practice prewriting skills: holding a writing implement and making marks on the board. We also used the Magic Boards in a science lesson about magnets, since it is a magnetic board. The class love to play "What's Inside" which is a soft plush box with a hole that the student puts their hand in to pick up a small soft toy from inside the box. They love to reach in a get a toy. We then name the toy and the color of the toy. It is a favorite group activity. We also love playing the Building Language Lotto which involves sorting fun items into the correct groupings: ie. farm items, clothing items, food items. The alphabet cards are large and colorful.
