  • Rewarding Scholars

    Funded Jan 8, 2024

Because of your generous donations, I was able to reward students for achieving growth and/ or scoring proficiency on the 3rd term district assessment. I had 39 students that were given special treats of cookies, chips and juice for their achievement. In addition, I just made it a fun day for them with games, music and dancing. My students are looking forward to doing this again in a few weeks when they take their next benchmark assessment. The entire class is claiming success for the next one. Thank you again for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

  • Everything STEM!

    Funded Nov 9, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous support of our project. Because of you my students have been able to practice hands on lessons involving force and motion and the related content vocabulary. I have seen tremendous growth in their learning after we received the learning materials to practice with. As of today my students are performing at the proficiency level when I tested them on this standard. I have also us the snacks we received as treats for students showing growth from one assessment to the next. Again, thanks for all that you do to support students and teachers.”

  • Classroom Rewards

    Funded Oct 12, 2023

I love handing out treats for awesome behavior and academic thinking etc., and this project has allowed me to do that. I was able to put treats and goodies in our class treasure chest and reward students. I also used the treats for refreshments during our pep rally for the Semester test. My students really enjoyed everything and I enjoyed being able to do this for them. Sometimes all it takes is that little goodie to let them know that I noticed them and that I appreciate their hard work to excite them and make them fell cared about.”

  • Celebrate Success!

    Funded Aug 3, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donations to help our scholars celebrate our school's success. We were projecting that our school to maintain its "A" status. And we did just that! Our scholars had a blast celebrating our end of the year party. Scholars were served snacks like nachos, candy, had juices, listened to and danced with our new boom box. In addition, our principal rented a water slide and foam machine. At the end of the program kids took pictures and were given them in frames to take with them to remember the day. What a day to remember!”

  • Mobile Carts for Stations

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Thank you for your generous donations to help my class get the mobile carts. We use them to keep our material in for our Center activities. The carts make it easy and convent for storing and collecting materials. I am able to use a separate shelf on the cart fir each of the three classes that I teach. In addition to the classroom, have used the carts in my science lab for to hold materials that are used for lab projects. Many of the other teachers in my building have inquired about the carts and have lurched some for their classes too. Thanks again!”

  • We're Moving on Up to Middle School

    Funded Jul 7, 2023

Thank you for your generous support for our graduating 5th graders. Because of your support in providing photo paper and ink I was able take individual and class pictures of the students. I then printed the pictures out and put them in the acrylic frames and gave to each child to keep as a memory of their 5th grade year. The students had a blast! The large foil balloons were used to decorate for the outside for our promotion program. The next day the students danced to music from our ion box, ate snacks and signed each other's autograph books. Thanks to you they had so much fun and memories to take with them.”

  • Water for Scholars

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Thank you so very much for your generous support of water and other liquids for my scholars. My students have been able to enjoy cold drinking water after we return inside from recess and at other times during the day when they are thirsty. In addition, we use the classroom refrigerator to keep the water cold and to have water right there in the classroom when we need it. Besides that, when we do a science objective that requires the use of water we are able to have water quickly available as opposed to having to get it from down the hall.”

  • Hands on Science

    Funded Feb 9, 2023

Our students used the new science materials to help them do hands on lessons for several of science standards that they were required to learn. For example with the Aero garden, the students were able to see plants grow indoors by using artificial sunlight. Students were able to to have their own pod planted in one the three gardens that we received. When they grew big enough, students replanted them and took them home. I plan to use the gardens again this year when we begin the lesson on photosynthesis.

My students used the sun, Earth and moon model to see the relationship between the three. From this they learned rotation, revolution, the lunar cycle, day & night, seasons and so much more.”

  • Fuzzy Feet for Student's Chairs

    Funded Aug 11, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my project "fuzzy feet." These chair leg floor protectors have been so nice to have in the classroom. They protect our new tile floors from scratches, noise and makes moving chairs smooth and quiet. These chair leg covers were very easy to install and they stay on the chair legs too. They are such a pleasure to have especially when students are working in groups and it's time to rotate to the next group. They keep the class from being loud from the symphony of chairs and desks moving across the floor. Again, thank you for your support.”

  • Water Please!

    Funded Jul 7, 2023

Thank you so ver much for your generous donation of water and other liquid drinks to my classes. My students are able to come inside from recess and enjoy cold hydrating liquids as they recover from playing and from the heat. As we experience these over one hundred degree weather the cold liquids has been such a treasure to have. In addition, my city is still having issues with frequent boil water notices. This makes parents have to go out and get water from different water donation spots. So, I sometimes have students asking to take home a bottle too. Again thank you for your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gwendolyn W Jones
