  • "Fast Pitch" Project LIT Black History Month Book Club

    Funded Feb 4, 2023

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous donations! Thanks to your generosity and thoughtfulness, all of our Project LIT readers were able to have their own copies of Fast Pitch to enjoy at home with their families. Having their own copies of the books allowed students to enjoy reading at home and during after school care.

Students were able to participate in the book discussion at the last Project LIT meeting because they had read the book at home. Students made brilliant connections between the characters and experiences within the book and their own lives.

Thanks to you, our students have had another wonderful experience with reading, which nurtures their love of books and of learning. I am forever grateful to you for supporting the learning experiences of our readers and leaders!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Schupack

  • "A Place At The Table" For Project LIT Readers

    Funded Mar 27, 2023

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for providing a copy of "A Place At The Table" for all of our brilliant Project LIT readers! Thanks to your generosity, all of our readers will have the chance to bring home their books and share them with their families as they prepare to discuss them with their fellow Project LIT participants! Thank you getting this very inspiring book in the hands of so many wonderful students!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Schupack

  • Bringing the Magic of Reading Home on Yes Day!

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your unbelievable generosity! Thanks to your donations, every single one of our amazing 400 Kindergarten through 3rd grade students had the gift of bringing home their very own beautiful, engaging, exciting, meaningful book to enjoy with their families at the end of our first annual Pan American Yes Week!

On April 29th, the birthday of my beloved cousin and world-changing author, Amy Krouse Rosenthal, each child received their very own copy of either: "My Very Favorite Book in the Whole Wide World", "Exclamation Mark", "This is a School", "Dear Girl", or "The Magician's Hat"! The excitement and joy on the students' faces when they learned that they were going to keep the books illuminated our school! Since that day students have brought the books back and forth in their backpacks and read them at dismissal, read them at home to their little siblings, and snuggled up with them at bedtime. They have helped cultivate a love of reading and learning within each student!

In the words of Amy Krouse Rosenthal's "Plant A Kiss", thank you "planting a kiss" and thus sharing "endless bliss" with our brilliant Pan Am readers!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Schupack
