Flexible Seating for Second Graders

Thank you so much for contributing to this flexible seating project. My students absolutely love flexible seating in our classroom and get excited each day to have the opportunity to choose from different seating options!

We use the seating options in different ways. We utilize the stools at our rainbow table for small group instruction. They sit on the seat cushions and rocking scoop chairs when reading independently on the floor. Students who need movement when sitting love using the exercise ball!

I can tell they are more focused and excited to read, write, and learn when they are comfortably sitting in different types of chairs.
