Ms. Glover's Second Grade All-Stars
Funded Aug 31, 2022Wow! What a wonderful first semester we've had. I can not emphasize how greatly impacted these students are by your generosity. Laptops and technology are a must in elementary classrooms.
Immediately, I noticed the students all worked hard to earn computer time. Thanks to this campaign, we have a 1-to-1 ratio of devices for the class of 21. We learned how to power the device, connect to WiFi, properly charge it, login or shut down, then search in the browser for our district homepage. Digital literacy is happening!
We mostly use the laptops during our group workstation rotations. However, during inclement weather, we play math games (via Blooket) to keep our minds sharp.
I was surprised at the students' response to the stools and cushions. I can barely get through a full day without someone asking for new seating! So, each independent workstation has various options. This is a highlight. Students are free to choose alternative seating that works for them.
Plus, with my Teachers Pay Teachers gift card, I have downloaded ample resources to accompany my lessons. That has been a true timesaver. Please see the attached photos to see your gifts in action!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Glover

Funded Aug 23, 2022We want to thank each and every one of you for your support. As a science/math teacher, I know first-hand how important it is to integrate hands-on materials into my lessons. Students learn by doing! We sure did a lot in the first semester.
When my students saw the materials, they immediately felt grateful that strangers would offer some classroom help. They were very eager to open our gifts.
Once opened, students immediately put on the goggles as if they were actual scientists! Students also were excited to conduct experiments that I had prepared for them. Our first unit was about liquid and solid matter (and their properties).
We also began using the fake money to extended knowledge of adding/subtracting. One of my lesson plans included going to a pretend restaurant with $20 and ordering two items, then calculating the change. That was a fun day!
Please see the pictures I have attached for more detail on your positive impact in our powerful classroom.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Glover
