  • BIG Books For BIG Kids!

    Thank you so much for helping to provide big word family books to my kindergarten classroom. I specifically chooses word family books because the teaching of word families is an area that has been lost due to the science of reading approach. While I am pleased with the direct that teaching is headed in, I recognize that there is value in some OG of the methods

    My kindergarteners enjoyed searching for word family words and generating more read and nonsense words to add to the books if they were the authors. My students are writing with better accuracy after being introduced to word families because they are able to make the connections between words that have the same endings!
