Standing for Success

My students enjoy being able to stand to work at tables for group work as well as independent work in the afternoons when the wiggles try to get the best of them.

Our math warm up consists of going to the standing tables equipped with dry erase boards and markers to complete number of the day activities as a group. Students work together as a team to ensure each table member writes an answer to every number sense activity.

My students were so excited to see the tables set up and ask to use them everyday. The tables make them feel like their work is important because they see myself and other adults standing to work also.”
