  • Stepping ‘Into Reading’ the Right Way!

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

The donation you made to our class of amazing scholars has truly helped advance learning within our classroom. We have created reference folders for each student to make reading and writing flow with more ease.

The students are able to have all of the important charts and guides they need as they read and write at their fingertips which helps them stay more focused and able to complete their tasks.

The heavy duty folders and page protectors will make it possible to save the materials to pass on to our new class of students next year which is beyond helpful as our resources are very scarce.

The students were thrilled when they first received these chart folders and they have been extremely responsible with them and use them daily.

Thank you again for supporting us and making a difference in our classroom. We are forever grateful!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Acevedo

  • Seats for Success!

    Funded Sep 17, 2024

It is with a full heart and so much gratitude that we send this letter to let you know how much your help has changed our classroom. With our project, Seats for Success we were able to give our students flexible seating in our classroom and the ability to meet for small groups at our large tables. With over 30 students, it is often very challenging to maneuver through our classroom and find enough seats to meet without causing a disruption in our learning. These stools have given us the chance to easily transition from one task to another with minimal interruption from chairs being dragged across the room. It also gives us the opportunity to have easily accessible seating near each group of desks to work with students individually as they are learning.

Thank you so much for your support and dedication to our learning! We truly appreciate your support!!!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Acevedo

  • What Do Owls Eat? Exploring the Life of an Owl

    Funded May 13, 2023

We just want to thank you for giving us a chance to be scientists and explorers without leaving our classroom! This experience has truly given our students a great chance to experience nature without leaving the Bronx.

Having a chance to learn about owls and how they live and how their bodies work was truly amazing. Although some students were a bit weary to dig into owl pellets, once they saw the awesome discoveries they were making, everyone was truly involved and invested.

We hope that you realize what an amazing impact you have had in our lives and educational journey by donating to our project! We are truly so grateful to have had this opportunity!

Our scholars thank you and so do we!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Acevedo

  • Enhancing Our Education in 3rd Grade!

    Funded Oct 10, 2023

We would like to say thank you SO very much for helping to enhance our classroom environment and donating to our project. Our privacy partitions have made such a huge difference in our daily work and helping us to focus on our work and testing. It gives us the ability to minimize distractions when we are taking assessments and doing independent tasks.

Our book sacks help us keep all of our materials organized and neat. It is wonderful.

We could not have gotten these materials without your amazing generosity and help.

We will truly work our hardest and make you proud!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Acevedo

  • Third Grade Rockstars!

    Funded Aug 3, 2023

Your donations to our classroom this year have gone above and beyond what we could have expected to help our students. We have been able to teach them how to be responsible for their belongings, stay organized and take accountability for our classroom environment.

Without your help, we would not have been able to provide our large but amazing class with the desk organizers and book sacks that they truly needed. The desk organizers have been a game changer for holding their water bottles and preventing spills that interrupt our learning, and give them the opportunity to always know where to find a pencil, eraser or marker to do their work without interrupting instruction. The book sacks are so durable and they are being used to safely protect and transport the books from our classroom back and forth between school and home so they students can access books in all places. This is huge for students who do not have books at home to further their reading.

Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making this dream a reality for our students. We would not have been able to do this without you. Have a wonderful and healthy holiday season.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Acevedo
