Literally Literate!
Funded Dec 17, 2024Thank you so much for giving us the gift of a color printer! Because of your donations, the students have been able to analyze and create their own games to teach others about they have learned about financial literacy. Some games teach about the value and variety of ways to save, others teach the value of investment and financial growth. All of the lessons includes some form of awareness regarding scams and credible resources. Having the ability to print their projects allows them to take their learning to the next level by giving them the chance to showcase their work to other students at our student showcase.”

Books, Books and More Books
Funded May 23, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donation. your contribution has made it possible to supplement our classroom library with books, books and more books!
Reading can be so challenging without the proper resources. When we got our box of books, my students were incredibly excited to see the new titles and make a list of possible future reading material.
My students are tasked with reading independently each night. That can be a challenge without books that are interesting, so thank you for helping me overcome this challenge!”

Funded Dec 28, 2022Thank you so much for choosing to help our classroom grow and for fostering our love for reading. When our books arrived, I held a book tasting and the students loved it! Each student got interview at least three books and heated negotiations began over who got to read what first.
I was so happy to see excitement and genuine joy over books. Your contribution will have a laying impact on our classroom, as it has inspired many of my students to not only read the books you provided, but to also read other books by the authors they have discovered through your generousity. I cannot thank you enough!”

Extreme Classroom Makeover: Social Emotional Learning Edition
Funded Sep 29, 2022Thank you so much for contributing to our Donors Choose Project. You generosity went straight to our classroom in the form of diverse books and creating a warm, welcoming space that is limited in distractions and engaging. The students love their new space and now we have to figure out how to make it bigger so more students can enjoy it!
My favorite moment that was created by the generosity of your donation is when I encouraged them to find a space in the room that inspired them. Several students focused on the view from the windows for inspiration, but most of the class choose to write a snapshot of lounging in our library, on its colorful carpets, reading an interesting book.
Thank you again for making this and many other moments possible. The joy that was brought to their faces the first time they say the books, carpet and inspirational decals, is a look I will not forget!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Morello
