  • Sensory Science My Classroom!

    Thank you so much for helping me and my students achieve a "sensory science classroom." My students were able to use the headphones to complete online assignments, extended assignments, explore simulators and interactive. The students were in shock when they saw the boxes full with headphones ready for them to use. Unfortunately some of the headphones broke and I'll have to order some more for the upcoming classroom and high quality ones that are more durable. Again, thank you so much for all your help.”

  • Scientists In Need of Supplies!

    Thank you so much for your donation. Because of you, my students are able to practice social emotional learning skills and use the new resources to help them with their handwriting difficulties. As a Special Education teacher, I feel the need to help my students develop skills that can help them in the future as they transition out of high school.

    When my students saw the materials provided by donors choose, they were excited and immediately requested to use the materials (especially the fidget toys). I have many students who get easily distracted, seems anxious when discussing issues, and fidget a lot in class. These students have benefited so much and use the fidgets often in class to help them cope with anxious behaviors.

    One of my students who struggles the most in the classroom due to academic delays in all areas (is just learning to write and read) has benefited the most. He uses the dry erase boards everyday to help him write in between lines and space out words. His scribe also uses the dry erase board to write sentences for him as he verbally says what he wants her to write. We will continue to use these materials in class and in the future, I hope to continue to provide them with more tools they can use not only in the classroom, but outside the classroom as they have to learn to apply these skills outside in the world.
