  • Classroom Store

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you for this amazing opportunity you have given me to have a classroom store for this year. The store this year has been a big support to me in helping my students feel motivated and engaged. Due to the wide variety of choices, I have been able to capitalize on student choice as they are able to choose what they specifically want or need.

My students love for education has continued to grow as they have seen how fun and exciting it is, while all the while being rewarded for their hard work. I am reminded of the importance of education through my daily interaction with them and also reminded of the many responsive donors that help make these donations possible.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Boydstun

Thank you for the new resources that you have given me to ensure that my students could have a classroom store this year. Each of these items have really helped my students sustain motivation as well as feel welcome in my class. It is exciting to see the success of each student and have them to be able to receive the rewards as the ones donated.

I recently asked one of my students what they liked about my class. He responded with, "Everything!" One of the many items that has been quite a hot topic for my class has been the magnets. My students have loved using the different colors of magnets to make different designs and images on the white board. My classroom store has been quite a success this year and I am very grateful and appreciative of the donations to help my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Boydstun

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

My classroom store has been such a success this year. It has helped students stay motivated and driven to attain their academic goals. It also has helped them to individualize their learning. It has made all the difference in helping sustain student interest and providing a variety of reinforcers for students.

At the beginning of the year, I first started by giving a survey to each student. This survey, also known as a force choice survey, allowed each student to identify certain reinforcers that they preferred over others. Afterwards, I was able to score it in such a way to determine the top reinforcers that each student preferred. With this information, I was able to come up with a list of items that would be benefit my classroom management system going forward.

The students were elated when they saw that I had received donations to items to which they had expressed their desire for. They have maintained a positive classroom environment, with the knowledge that they can receive various prizes and rewards that they all enjoy.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Boydstun
