  • Growing in the Garden

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donations! The students in my garden club were so excited to see the arrival of the benches and shovels.

As each bench was put together, my students showed so much gratitude. They now have a place to sit and take a break as they work in the garden. The shovels have also been a wonderful gift. Now there are enough shovels for each student. The shovels have been very useful in pulling weeds and transplanting some plants.

The joy on the faces of my students as they work in the garden or just hang out on the new benches has been priceless. Your donations have made this possible. We are very grateful for your thoughtfulness and generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hataye

  • Gardening: Rooted in Friendship

    Funded Aug 20, 2024

Students in my garden club were thrilled to see the gloves, knee pads, and seeds for our school garden. With excitement, they claimed their gloves, grabbed a knee pad, and began pulling weeds and preparing the garden for the seeds. They started with the radish and lettuce seeds. The radish is starting to grow and the students can't wait to harvest it! We are looking forward to seeing the lettuce grow as well.

Thanks to your generous donations, the students were given this opportunity to work, thrive and grow in the garden. I heard some students say, "pulling weeds is relaxing." Others showed their joy in seeing the radish leaves popping out of the soil. The Garden community is growing, as well as their love for nature, the environment, and their desire to learn about growing and harvesting their own healthy food. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This would not have been possible if it wasn't for your thoughtfulness and generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hataye
