If We Value All Readers, We Must Value All Reading
Funded Sep 9, 2024On behalf of room A107, I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous school supplies and book donations. Your contribution has brought immense joy and valuable learning opportunities to my students in special education.
Books are powerful tools that open doors to imagination, discovery, and growth. For our students, they provide not only knowledge but also a chance to engage with the world in meaningful ways. Your donation have supported their reading development, inspired creativity, and fostered a love for learning. If it wasn't for your kind donations, my students wouldn't enjoy reading as much as they do now.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Rios

Funded Oct 11, 2022Thank you for all of the wonderful classroom supplies you donated to our classroom !
The resources you donated are used on a daily basis by my students and I. For that, we are extremely grateful. For example, the students love using whiteboards to make learning more interactive. Not only are the whiteboards beneficial for the students but I am able to use them as a formative assessment to check for students' understanding.
Having these essential supplies in the classroom help support student achievement.
Believe it or not, one of the items the students were most excited about having was the electric sharpener. Students would constantly ask to borrow my $1 sharpener but hated having to clean up the pencil shavings when they were done sharpening their pencils. Having an electric sharpener rocks!!
Lately, my students have been using highlighters to annotate their short stories. Students color-code their annotations to focus on key points. They've also used poster boards to draw plot diagrams for their short stories.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Rios
