Learning to Code with Micro:bit V2
Funded Dec 3, 2024I extend my heartfelt thanks for your generous sponsorship of our STEM project, focusing on coding and micro:bits for high school students with special needs.
Thanks to your funding, we were able to provide hands-on opportunities for students to explore coding and technology in a way that is both accessible and engaging. The micro:bits will be an invaluable tool, empowering students to create projects ranging from interactive games to functional devices, fostering their problem-solving skills and creativity.
For many of these students, our activity using 3 microbits for the whole class was their first time engaging with coding, and the excitement and pride they displayed when their projects came to life were extraordinary to witness. Thank you for providing us with a class set that will allow each student to extend their time using the microbit.
Your commitment to supporting STEM education aligns perfectly with our mission to create inclusive and enriching learning environments. The impact of this project extends far beyond the classroom; it has inspired confidence, encouraged teamwork, and planted seeds for future aspirations in technology and engineering fields.
We are incredibly grateful for partners like Edison International, who understand the importance of investing in diverse learners and championing educational equity.
Once again, thank you for believing in our vision and empowering our students to dream big.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Fallins-Pryor
