Making Scientists in a rural school

Funded Aug 19, 2022

How I wish you could have been in the classroom when the boxes you so graciously donated began to arrive. Curiosity and amazement filled the air, as the children were so surprised that you funded these supplies for them. They are so grateful and appreciative.

We learned about photosynthesis, which can sometimes be hard to understand because it takes place in a plant cell which is too small for our eyes to see. Not any more! We used our donated microscopes to look at plant cells to gain a better understanding of how photosynthesis works.

Up next, we are building the electromagnets donated by you. I showed them the kits before we went out on Thanksgiving Break and they were so excited to return to school. They love all these hands-on experiences you have made possible for them. I am forever grateful for your generosity.”

With gratitude,

Mrs. Shelton
