Fresh Start!
Funded Jul 18, 2023Thank you once again for your amazing support in giving our young artists the supplies they need to shine this school year! Your kindness has made a huge difference in our art program and has really boosted the creativity and excitement of all our students.
This year, having paint wipes has been an absolute game-changer. Our 7th and 8th graders, who help clean up after their lessons and get the classroom ready for the K-2 students, were thrilled to find out about the paint wipes. They've made it so much easier to wipe down surfaces quickly. With less time spent on clean-up, we have more time to dive into our creative projects, which everyone loves.
The students were also so grateful to have brand new colors and glue when they came back to school. These fresh supplies have sparked so much excitement and creativity. Having high-quality materials means they can try new techniques and bring their ideas to life. It's been wonderful to see their faces light up as they work on their projects with such enthusiasm. Thanks to you, every student feels included and has the same chance to succeed, which is so important.
The pride they take in their work shows in every piece they create, and it's all thanks to your generosity. Having these supplies also gives them a sense of ownership and responsibility for art materials which is key to their growth as young artists.
In conclusion, your donation has made a world of difference to our art program. We are incredibly thankful for your ongoing support and belief in the importance of art education. On behalf of all the students and myself, thank you for your kindness and generosity. We can't wait to share more of our artistic achievements with you in the future.”

I Like To Weave It, Weave It!
Funded Dec 1, 2022The mini artists of Alice Harte appreciate these supplies that you all so generously donated! Since we received the materials in February, I decided it was the perfect opportunity for a black history month lesson.
Students learned about the use of freedom quilts and the Underground Railroad. They then learned the meaning of each pattern and chose 2 or 3 that they'd like to replicate. Students used whatever colors they wanted to create their own freedom quilt squares.
The artwork was impactful not only to my students but to teachers and students not in art class as well. Many did not have to please of learning about freedom quilts and were shocked yo learn about them. We displayed the squares during the black history program and for the entirety of the month of February! Thank you for helping our mini artists enrich not only their own minds, but the minds of those around them.”

Funded Sep 7, 2022The students of Alice Harte Elementary School cannot thank you enough! Thanks to you and your generosity. Our awesome artists were able to create some amazing works of art and discover some new things along the way. Many of them were surprised to find out that there were people out there who wanted to send them art materials. They were even more shocked to find out that all you wanted in return was to know that they received and enjoyed those materials, and to see a few pictures of the artwork! Which they were more than happy to share. We hope that you enjoy our students work as much as they enjoyed making it and know that you played a part in helping an entire school of students broaden their knowledge of the art world.”
