Middle School Students Compete in Battle of the Books Competition

Thank you for purchasing these books for my book club members. They been reading them and focusing on these books during our weekly meetings before school. I have enjoyed watching them discuss these books during our meetings. They have played games about the books and received small prizes for taking AR tests on these books.

In February, they will compete in a friendly competition by answering trivia questions about the books to see who remembers the most about the books. The purpose of this is to select which six members will get to represent our school in the Battle of The Books Competition at Artbreak. Unfortunately, only six students can compete, however, the other members will certainly participate by helping create, film, and participate in trailers that will be judged in the Artbreak competition.

Not only has your donation benefited the Book Club members, but many of the other Middle School students as well! I cataloged these books so that any student can check them out from the library. I refer to these books each time their class comes to the library. I challenged them to read at least three of the books and many of them have! These books are the most popular books in our library, so thank you for your donation!”
