• Control Myself & My Emotions!

  Thank you so much for the donation to our calm down corner. Last school year we got a lot of new 3-year-olds in the classroom that had a hard time expressing their emotions. They also had a hard time understanding what to do with those emotions. This school year we are getting a new group of 3- and 4-year-olds. These materials are going to be so helpful during those emotional times. We are excited to sit with our friends this year in the calm down corner and really help them understand and model what to do when we have those emotions.”

• New School Year Essentials

• Table Top Activities!

  Thank you so much for the donation to our new classroom. The tabletop activities have helped my students become more independent in the morning. When my students come into the classroom, they hang up their coats and backpacks and grab a tabletop activity to sit with while we wait for all students to arrive. There are many fine motor games that have helped. My students that need a little more support became independent by the end of the school year. These activities also helped them solve problems together. Some of the activities allow there to be more than one participant so the students have had to learn to share more! We appreciate all the donors!”

• Fed Friends Are Happy Friends!

  Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. Many of my students do not like the school lunch and don't bring in any lunch from home. By donating to our project, you have allowed my students to have something in their bellies when they don't like the lunch options. Full bellies help us get through our day!

  When the students saw the snack options, they were so excited! We are in a low income city and many of the students might not see those same snacks at home. We appreciate you putting a smile on our students faces as well as food in their bellies!”

• Art Is Magical!

  Thank you so much for your generous donation to our art supplies cabinet! My students have been using these supplies daily in our art center, writing center and even in our math center!

  Each week we have a new letter of the week. With these supplies they have been able to create a picture for the letter of the week. This week we are on the letter "H". The students made a house for uppercase H and a horse for lowercase h.

  In our writing center students have been drawing pictures of family members, fruit baskets, veggie salads, etc. This week we are learning about healthy ways to stay active. Students have been drawing different ways to "get moving".

• Sensory Seating!

  Thank you so much for helping my friends with sensory seating. I have a few friends in my class that have a hard time sitting at circle time. The chair has been so helpful. One of my friends is able to sit and pay attention for a longer period of time because she can bounce a little in the chair instead of wanting to get up and run around the classroom.

  Some of my friends have been using the bouncing bands for their chairs during small group. Keeping their feet busy helps them to focus on their activities and reduces the sound of them tapping their feet on the ground.

  The chewy necklace has been helpful for 3 of my friends that like to put toys in their mouth. It has also helped one of my friends that likes to lick the mirror during dance class as well as licking the bars.

  The bouncy ball seats are helpful during small group time as well. When we are sitting at the table and my friends need to just listen rather than do anything hands on, it's helpful for them to sit on the ball with a teacher's assistance next to them.”

• Visual Learning Fun

  Thank you so much for your help this school year! With the materials that we have received we have been able to make so many visuals. We have visuals all over the classroom to help our students. We have been able to make visual schedules for each individual student to help their days become more successful.

  With the lamination sheets we have been able to laminate many important things. Students in my classroom like to bend paper so be able to laminate it helps the materials last longer. The lamination sheets have also been helpful with visuals because when the students remove the picture and place it somewhere else (in the hand of a teacher, in the all done basket, etc) the visuals last longer.

  The printer has been amazing! It allows our classroom to be able to have art projects, school to home notes, etc. We appreciate your help so much!”
