Georgia O'Keeffe once said, "I found I could say things with color that I couldn't say any other way; things I had no words for." The colorful pens that you provided for my students may appear to be a simple tool, but they have created engagement and excitement for my students. They are excited to produce work because they have the tools to help them make beautiful work. Where students used to write their work and say, "I'm done!", now there is excitement about editing and revising their work.
Thank you so much!”

I wish you could have seen my students' faces when they walked in the room and saw the United States carpet and comfy chairs. The excitement from the students was contagious! Not only are the students comfortable while sitting on the carpet, but they are also engaging in conversations about the map itself. We have had discussions about where students have come from and places they would like to visit. I have also modeled on the rug/map the migration of people over time.
My students are also more engaged because they are able to sit for longer periods of time. I called a parent after school one day to give positive feedback and he said his child told him that she could focus because she was comfortable. Thank you so much!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Roby
